Responsibilities

  • Work on roofs, multi-level structures, scaffolds and ladders.
  • Shovel dirt and/or rubble.
  • Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Perform material handling and storage.
  • Load and unload trucks, manually haul and/or hoist materials.
  • Ensure that work is performed in a safe manner; ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; convey problems to the attention of foreman, superintendent or safety manager.
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects.
  • Perform manual work in preparing surfaces.

Requirements

  • Commercial construction site experience preferred
  • Must pass pre-hire screenings

Travel

  • May be required to travel between, to, and from job-sites.

Physical Demands

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to  wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/or precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and vibration;  the noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position.
  • This position frequently requires longer hours and weekend hours. Field management will determine appropriate hours of operation for their respective job-sites, which may vary.
