When Science And Construction Come Together

Amazing Things Happen

If you thought renovation was easy, you’d be wrong. Identifying weak points and finding the strong ones worth keeping is no easy task. Our work on the Southwestern University Fondren Jones Higher Education Center is one such example. We had to ride that tenuous line between expansion and renovation and find the right proportions of each. The results were efficiency at its finest. We did away with what couldn’t work and kept what did, giving the center a new face for the years to come.

The Details

Our focus at the center was on the science building, where we built and renovated a total of 58,000 square feet. We collaborated with the architecture firm Group Two Architecture, Inc. to develop an innovative, state-of-the-art center that would be modern enough to stand as a beacon of academia for decades.
