Securing One Of The Worlds Biggest Brands

The Valero Mckee Plant in the Dallas area gave us an ambitious project in the form of a blast-resistant masonry control building. We took on the challenge and the results exceeded our expectations while giving us valuable industrial construction, durability, and petrochemical construction experience that we can carry forward into future projects.

The Details

The construction project at the Valero Mckee Plant came together as a 12,528 square foot, state-of-the-art, single-story, blast-resistant building to house the plant’s masonry controls. To achieve true blast-resistant durability, we used independent structural steel frames and a split-faced CMY block face. The building also features a redundant mechanical system and emergency power systems. The architecture firm RVK Architects partnered with us and created some truly amazing designs to work with.
